impact for change coaching programme

Anyone who comes to coaching is looking for change of some sort. The Impact for Change Coaching Programme is a world-class programme and accredited by the International Coaching Federation. It has been designed by drawing on the best of the training, learning and experiences of master coaches and trainers. It is a 48-hour programme operating over a period of six months and comprises

  • 3 taught modules, each of two days' duration (normally non-residential) delivered over the six month period
  • Inter-modular individual coaching sessions with a qualified Stillpoint Coach

Module 1- All About Me: this is the foundation.  Anyone intending to use coaching to develop others must know themselves first.  The module focuses on self-awareness and the ability to hold powerful conversations.
Module 2- The You: develops more advanced coaching skills and tools to enable the coach to sustain a focused conversation that is wholly about the other person.
Module 3- The Relationship: demands high level skills and deep self-awareness so that coaching approaches are fully integrated in the participant and available at any time.

The methodology is a proven effective blend of theoretical concepts and experiential learning - both of which are essential for knowledge-based skill development. The complex skill mix required to be effective makes it look deceptively simple. The modules lead learners through this progression from beginner to advanced practitioner.

The 6 hours of one to one coaching support the participants' learning and help them integrate the Impact for Change Coaching model.

who is the impact for change coaching programme for?

The whole programme is for people who want to help others bring change to their lives. Eg - Individuals who

want to develop their own coaching practice
are interested in introducing coaching training for key personnel in their organisation
work in consultative capacities with different organisations or areas of business, particularly where there is a focus on improving staff performance.

Module 1 - About Me - appeals to a much wider audience and stands alone.  Getting to know oneself is a certain pathway to change as well as an essential foundation for anyone aspiring to coach.

what differences can you expect to see?

The learning in this programme is intended to be overt and seen from Day 1. All participants have the opportunity to determine how they are choosing to show up from the start of the training. So the individual concerned and the people around them should start to notice:

  • A shift in how they express themselves to others
  • A greater ability to truly listen
  • A greater willingness to ask questions that make conversations far more powerful
  • A reduction in their own levels of stress or self-limiting beliefs

Participants are required to start practising their Impact for Change Coaching skills from Module 1. The building of a client base starts straight away if this is the desired direction of the participant. So once the coach starts to practise and use the learning, then there should be a noticeable change in their clients.

ICF Accreditation
The Impact for Change Coaching program at Stillpoint Associates LLP has been approved as 48 hours of Approved Coach Specific Training Hours ("ACSTH") by the International Coach Federation (ICF). The Approved Coach Specific Training Hours designation is awarded to programs that follow the ICF Definition of Coaching, Code of Ethics, and Core Competencies, and that meet professional standards for coach training programs established by the ICF. Graduation from an ACSTH program will meet the ICF's requirements for individual coach certification for student contact learning hours for the number of hours of the program. ACSTH approval does not warrant or guarantee the effectiveness of the training or the student's ability to build a successful coaching practice. The individual applicant must take the ICF's portfolio exam to obtain their credential.
